Common questions

How do I know Sworn is actually running?

Open the app. The "Activate Private DNS" card at the top shows a live status: ✓ Sworn is filtering this device if your phone is currently routing DNS through us, or a warning if it isn't. Tap "Check again" to re-test.

I changed my categories but blocked sites still load.

Most browsers cache DNS lookups for 30–60 seconds. Quit and reopen the browser; if the change still hasn't taken effect after a minute, tap Refresh on the Partners screen and confirm the Categories toggles match what you expect.

My partner didn't get the invite SMS.

A few possibilities: the number wasn't in international format (must start with + and the country code), the destination phone has hit our daily SMS cap, or the carrier filtered the message. Email us with the UUID + partner phone and we'll check the logs.

How do I delete my account?

Email dg@snowleopard.dev with the UUID shown in the app's Activate DNS screen ("Hostname (advanced)" → the leftmost label of the hostname). We'll wipe your row and confirm.

Can I run my own resolver?

Yes — Sworn's resolver is open-source. The deploy guide and full source are in the Snow Leopard Labs GitHub repo.
